Some Dog's need freedom...

The Ranter
The Views of The Ranter

I have often watched Dog the Bounty Hunter just because I get a kick out of it. Dog, the TV reality star Duane “Dog” Chapman and two co-stars accused of illegal detention and conspiracy in the bounty hunters’ capture of a cosmetics company heir in Mexico posted bail and were released Friday.

Dog has become a marketing phenomena and his wife just keeps the television magic going. Darn I love free enterprise!

Dog became famous or infamous when he took his team Dog into Mexico and arrested Max Factor heir Andrew Luster on June 18, 2003, in Puerto Vallarta. The Dog’s capture of Luster, who had fled the country during his trial on charges he raped three women, catapulted the 53-year-old bounty hunter to fame and led to the reality series on A&E. Luster is now serving a 124-year prison.

Let us be honest, the Dog took a rapist off the street, he said, damn the guy’s money, he is paying for his crimes and went to Mexico and grabbed the rich scumbag. Problem is bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico and charges have been pending against the three since local police in Mexico arrested them shortly after they roped in Luster. They posted bail but never returned for their court hearing in July 2003, officials said.

This is really a no-brainer folks, Dog took the scumbag off the streets so the guy is a hero, not a wanted fugitive. The U.S. Marshals acted upon the federal warrant, arrested him in his home and locked him up with many of the fugitives he put behind bars. Not a happy thought there.

If justice is served the Dog will be sniffing the hydrants in Hawaii soon and putting the bad guys behind bars, at least I hope so.
