Let's try one more time!

I often have thought there was this very dark black cloud following my aged body around just waiting for the exact moment to strike. Of course that is a bunch of hogwash as we all know that statements such as that are ludicrous, but still, I wonder if that sucker is still luring around.

To make a small point, the other day I happily posted a comment about my new, power-packed computer that my brother saw fit to bestow upon his older sibling as a gift. I bestowed accoladesThT upon him fitting of the occasion and happily went about my business of transferring the remaining files from my old computer to my new one.

That was the exact moment in time that my old computer decided that it was not too happy with being replaced with a new one with more processing power than computes the point of gravity on the space shuttle and decided to teach me a lesson, it promptly died. Well, not totally, but the hard drive, which I should comment had been making this strange little noise similar to a Huey gunship coming in for a gun run made a huge buzzing sound and stopped working.

The problem with that specific time was I was in the process of making a CD of all my mail folder as well as all my settings and mail accounts. I sat back and hollered something that left my two nephews running for the hills thinking they were at fault. I reassured them they were not the problem, but the computer was and things returned to normal.

Everything is back up and running on my new computer, but all the mail, etc., are long gone as well as the few posts I had been working on. My brother is now walking around with his head even higher than it was with the knowledge that his new gift came at the exact moment in time to make a difference in his big brother’s life and I am slowly getting back to normal.

So now you all know the rest of the story. Love that phrase, and I will be posting and ranting shortly.
