Nothing changes.
Bob Woodward became famous cracking Watergate along with Bernstein they were responsible for bringing down the Nixon administration. Of course, it did not hurt when Robert Redford played him in the move, but that was then and this is now.
Since then he wrote two books that shed a good light on the Bush administration, then after too much heat from his critics and peers, if someone that was portrayed by Redford has any, but he took heat. So, to try and put himself back in good grace he comes out with a book shedding a not so bright, if not totally dark light on the Bush administration.
It does not help his cause that some of the events that he described in the book are now having doubt cast upon them by Rice and a few others. However, this is the “Hate Bush” phase of politics so of course they believe the book and not the actual events.
I do not know which is worse, the media or a famous personality that just about created today’s media, perhaps they are the same under the skin, I have no idea.
Now we have the disgraced former Congressman Mark Foley incident, writing sexual emails to the young pages and the FBI investigating whether the Republican’s covered the incident up and we are back to square one, “Hate Bush,” after all, he is a Republican and should have known better.
I hate politics and I hate what has become of the media. Where is my crystal?
