General Patton, you are needed.
If what he believed in was true then General George S. Patton is among us still in the form of a new warrior transcended from his former self through reincarnation. He was a firm believer in this as well as his warrior ancestors guiding his movements through various stages of glory.
Patton was in a severe state of sadness for missing out on the Normandy invasion and the possibility of glory due to slapping a soldier suffering from shock. His glory was still to come when he was given command of the 3rd Army and with the determination of Alexander he quickly fought his way to the German homeland where his army ran out of fuel.
The small city of Bastogne was under siege by the German army in what became The Battle of the Bulge and the 101st Airborne Division fought with heroism and valor stopping the German winter push in its tracks.
Patton disengaged from an active battle, turned his armor and third Army 90 degrees and fought to reinforce the heroic 101st and their commander who had responded to the German request for surrender with one simple word, NUTS. The 101st may have been surrounded, but they felt sorry for those poor bastards and were not going to listen to the word surrender, not while they still had a few shells left for their weapons.
There is a reason I have brought this up, besides the fact it is one of my favorite history lessons of WWII and a long departed relative of mine had served with Patton and always told us his men loved and hated him at the same time, saying it was always Patton’s guts and the men’s blood, that’s why he was known as blood and guts.
General Patton if you are indeed walking among the ranks of warriors today then your country needs you now more than ever. We need a General not afraid of politics and the media who will take the bull by the horns and turn Iraq into a better place. Yes, General Patton your country needs you.

Amen to that!
I am a believer in reincarnation. I don't believe it...I know it. He is most likely somewhere in the wings.
Like you I wish he would make an appearance....SOON!
The world is in the condition it is in cause good ppl everywhere do not stand up for their values and say what needs to be said.
Forget the polls of popularity. Too much of that going around. We need a stickler, a bulldog, a biter. Go out on a limb, stick yer neck out.
This go with the flow business is ruining our way of life. Get mad, get even. Whew---I think I'm on a rant Ranter.
Wish the Prez would grab some of those smarmy reporters and squeeze.
How does he stand there and take their insolent questions without losing it? Damn.
Give me a combo of Ranter, Wild Bill, and Papa Ray....and then throw Michael Savage in there for seasoning.
Then we'd see some reporters cut to the quick. Ya savvy?
And hurry up Patton...you are sorely needed here.
We HAD a Gen. George (Stormin Norman), but like the rest of em he was retired !!
What we have in the Forces now is a never-endin line of Colin Powells.. While Gen. Swartzkopf got shuffled(quietly) of to retirement in Florida, Gen. Powell got pushed up the ladder.. And you see how far he got pushed too !!
Those that followed em saw what it took (what ass to kiss)to also get pushed up that CAREER LADDER..
There is no incentive to be a PATTON in the Military anymore.. Its counter-productive and is a career-ender..
Even if there are Patton-mentalities in the Service, they are quickly identified and sent to "sensitivity trainin" and transfered to a back corner in some warehouse countin boxes or aircraft hangar sortin rivets till they get their "20" in and get shoved out the door !!
If some of em are quiet enuff, the get a cushy job at the Pentagon till they get 20 in and then are hired as GS workers, who if cornered can be said to be civilians and not actually Military..
Thinkers and winners are weeded out pretty quick, and replaced with those that just go where they are told and do what they are told and dont make too many waves..
Where do you thank the term "thats above my pay grade" come from ?? THATS the example of your career Military now !!
I think Patton was not only one of the greatest generals of all time, but a person who lived with true passion of life!
Kilroy Was Here!
My Commentathon is coming to an end, Ranter. Your support would be appreciated.
Gen. Patton had a true passion for HISTORY !!
Patton believed strongly in reincarnation and I have given a lot of thought and tend to agree. There are people that I am so close to that we have to be something is another life. Or, seeing someone and knowing inside that you know them, really know them.
Patton is needed. pure and simple.
Ranter
Wild Bill, as usual you are a voice in the wilderness. Yep, Stormin Norman needs to be brought to active duty.
Kilroy. don't quite grasp the comment. Whatever you need, drop me an email.
