As I mentioned yesterday and by now everyone is well aware of this, but the United Nations has imposed punitive sanctions against North Korea. We should acknowledge that John Bolton accomplished the impossible in bringing this resolution before the UN and having all participating membership sign off on it. Not too bad for a man that has yet to be confirmed in the position, what else does John have to do to actually get the title in which he is already working?

The problem the resolution raises is what the United Nations expects to accomplish in the punishment phase, especially since the resolution rules out the use of military force. Whatever transpires I am sure that North Korea will respond with threats of violence. We can expect little else from their leader except that and more.

We are seeing a slight increase in attacks in Afghanistan lately, perhaps it is time for the United Nations to conduct a full assault into any territory held or occupied by terrorists and remnants of the Taliban. That is if the United Nations can effectively plan and conduct an operation that would actually work as planned.

I have little respect for the United Nations forces and when our military was placed under their command structure, it infuriated me. Reports of murders and multiple raping incidents of young female children are constantly filtering out of UN occupied Africa with all fingers pointing to the UN forces. Personally, I feel the UN outlived its usefulness long ago and needs to be immediately disbanded.

The Shi'ite are once again enacting more violence upon the Sunni population of Iraq as demonstrated in the latest weekend rampage of revenge killing in a city north of Baghdad where 46 Sunni Arabs were killed. I have written often of the age-old hatred between these two followers of Islam that predates Christianity. It is difficult for anyone to put a stop to the violence between these two sects.

Through history, the Shi'ite and Sunni have only banded together during times of war when they were led by men such as Salah al-Din (Saladin) in a battle for Jerusalem during the Crusades. Other than that, a vengeful dictator such as Saddam separated them. Perhaps the only way in which to maintain a peaceful coexistence between the two is a governing religious body comprised of religious leaders whose only desire is peace and not constantly fueling the fires of hatred.

Here is another item from our bleeding heart, tree-hugging, let’s all join hands skipping merrily through the countryside spreading peace media, “A suspected al Qaeda leader, accused of being involved in September 11 and planning the 2004 Madrid train bombings, has been imprisoned in a secret U.S. jail for the past year, Spain's El Pais newspaper reported on Sunday.”

So What! This person is not a United States Citizen and since when does any of our constitutional rights have any bearing on a non-citizen or for that matter, anyone planning or enacting acts of violence against the people of America.

I honestly feel it is time we kicked the A.C.L.U. out of the country and sent them off to Russia where they could find all kinds of things to complain about. As well as enacting legislation specifically stating that scumbag, murdering creeps who kill our people have no rights under our laws and no rights under the Geneva Convention. After all, we are the only country who cares about the Geneva Convention, why should we care about murdering bastards who kill our people safely in their homes and at work.

As far as I am concerned, if someone takes up arms against our nation or is involved in any act, which calls for the murder of our citizens, then the only right that have guaranteed to them is the right to die at the hands of our military.
