Saddan will learn the hard way.
The death sentence handed down by Iraqi courts to put an end to the violence of Saddam Hussein sets a historic precedence within the Middle East. The murderous leaders who previously tortured and killed their fellow people now face the distinct possibility of being forcibly removed from office, captured and made to atone for their crimes against humanity.
Saddam must have felt very secure in the knowledge that the people of Iraq, his people, would never hand down the death penalty against someone they loved and worshipped as Saddam. The deposed murder has even been quoted of having this convoluted fantasy where he would be found guilty and through pressure by George W. Bush would never face death or even prison time. In this fantasy, George W. Bush restores him to the office of the presidency as he and he alone can only restore peace to Iraq.
This fantasy took place long after his two sons discovered the hard way that entering into a full engagement with the United States military only brings about the quick possibility of departing this earth in a stream of gunfire and missiles being fired by Apache helicopters circling above you.
One article of interest to me after the death of his sons was a reporter commenting that Saddam was not even mourning the loss of his sons, but instead was feeling pretty good knowing he would not have to share the wealth of his office with his murdering sons any longer. This must have been about the time his fantasy of bringing peace to the Middle East materialized and he began thinking that the plan had been the brainchild of George W.’s all along.
Whatever the case may be Saddam will learn the true intentions of the court when a hangman places a noose around his neck and sends him straight to hell in the blink of an eye and the snap of a neck. Perhaps Iraq will begin returning to a better existence once his henchmen realize it is an exercise in futility.

I fear that the empendin death of Saddam will only bring rise of more power and influence to al-Sadr now..
The Sunni's restraint now since the verdict will most likely mean that retaliation will come soon.. The Shia parades and celebrations will only bring contempt from the Sunnis.. Its just a matter of the right time and place till the Sunnis come unwound.. And aint no tellin what the catalyst will be..
I just hope that he has a change of heart about the things he was responsible for--before meeting his maker. God bless all the victims of the torture and murder. I hope that all have a change of heart because it's the judgement after this life that we must fear.
