They have weapons...Oh My!
It is evident that Donald Rumsfeld was the proverbial sacrificial lamb resulting from the Republicans sound defeat in the last election. Some political analysts are speculating that if President Bush would have fired Rumsfeld earlier on the Republican party would have survived last weeks house cleaning by the voters.
Wild Bill and I have often discussed the fact that a wide spectrum of people in America no longer are willing to stay the course in any matter dealing with the war on terrorism. These same individuals are the ones constantly screaming for a change in politics and for a complete withdrawal of all military resources in Iraq.
The first portion, a change in the political structure is bound to take place with or without any more sacrificial lambs. The anti-war, save the mosquito and every bird in the world, chain themselves to a whale crowd hates the military, pure and simple. They hate everything it represents and will pursue any course of action to insure it is portrayed in a bad light. It matters not if the entire military were to join hands and skip merrily across the landscape of Iraq doing good deeds for everyone and presenting flowers to every enemy snipers who killed one of them, they have to go, they carry weapons, oh my.
This same crowd hates any form of violence, yet will go completely out of their way from chaining themselves to ghetto houses in an attempt to save the New York rat to throw eggs, feces and any other disgusting item at returning troops. Some of these vile creatures such as Fred Phelps and his Westboro Church comprised of all family members stoop so low that they band together in the name of God to protest military funerals while calling the deceased every insulting name imaginable.
You just have to love those old bible thumping ministers, either that or totally ignore them, as making an issue over them is what they want. They thrive on adverse media, sucking up all the publicity and chewing on every delightful morsel, they are media vampires, nothing more.
Cindy Sheehan, another member of this crowd who runs around the country attempting to portray herself as the lone voice in the wilderness for the anti-war crowd ever since her brave son, Casey Sheehan was killed in action while serving. Many individuals who knew her son and served with him have commented that Casey would never have stood for his Mother’s anti-war doings. This does not stop Cindy in her continuous quest for media attention and it never will.
Our nation is faced with constant, viable threats from various terrorist groups, with the front-runner, Al Qaeda working diligently in the background planning future attacks upon America. Our answer to these threats is plain and clear, hide the head in the sand and hope they go away, or let someone else handle them. We cannot unleash our dogs of way, oh my no, what if they like it too much and begin doing it on their own. Yes, we train them and arm them with the latest in weapon technology, but we cannot trust them. Let another country fight our battles, yes, that is it and they all owe us one anyway.
The majority of the people are sheep, while the sheep dogs charged with their protection are constantly held back from doing performing their duties, serve and protect.
It will take additional attacks upon our nation and the people of America for these lambs to completely turn lose their dogs of war and not hold them back in any degree. It will take attacks of a major proportion and this is the absolute sad commentary to all of this. A lot of the people of this country, the same ones running around working diligently to hold the dogs of war in check and pull the rest of them out of the war on terrorism will be the first to question how we allowed another attack to take place when it does occur. These sycophants of society and the Hollywood elite will be running around in chicken little mode screaming at everyone they find that the sky is falling and our leaders allowed it to happen.
I have often said that our great country is facing a wakeup call and to be honest, I pray that I am wrong.
